Keratin hair, or also known as keratin bond hair extensions, is a type of hair extension that uses the installation method using keratin. Keratin is a natural protein which is also the main component of human hair. In the context of hair extensions, keratin is used to bond the hair extensions to real hair.
The process of installing keratin hair involves heating the keratin bond using a special tool such as a hot fusion iron or hot glue gun. When heated, the keratin bond melts and sticks to real hair. This creates a strong bond between the real hair and the extension, so the extension stays securely in place.
The advantage of keratin hair is the strength and durability of the good bond, so that the extensions can last for a longer period of time. This method of attachment also provides natural results, as the tiny, transparent keratin bonds look like part of real hair

There are 3 Types of Keratin

I-tip, U-tip, and Flat-tip are all types of hair extensions that use different methods.

I-Tip

I-tip hair extensions are also known as micro ring or micro bead extensions. At the end of the hair extension, there is an I-shaped piece of keratin that is used to attach the extension to real hair.

U-Tip

U-tip hair extensions are also known as nail-tips or keratin tips. At the end of the hair extension, there is a U-shaped piece of keratin that is used to attach the extension to real hair.

Flat-Tip

Flat-tip hair extensions are also known as square-tip or square keratin extensions. At the end of the hair extension, there is a flat piece of keratin which is used to attach the extension to real hair.
